Tudor: Watches and Wonders review

Black Bay 58 in gold with gold bracelet
- Manufacture Calibre MT5400 (COSC)
- 39mm yellow gold case
- Yellow gold bracelet
Launched in full gold the combination with the green bezel and dial is actually really striking, However a retail that is shy of £28,000 makes me wonder just exactly who will need or desire this. A beautifully executed but totally pointless piece.
Bracelet is not faux riveted and is actually really good, needs to be an option for the rest of the range.
Black Bay 58 GMT
This is a watch I really craved. It features a new movement the calibre MT 5450-U which has a 65 hours power reserve and is METAS and COSC certified.
Unfortunately once on my wrist it was a let down for me personally- this will be a hit for sure but let me say why it didn’t happen for me. First the bezel, burgundy and black is a win, but the gilded numerals just doesn’t look right, they should have gone with the Black Bay 54 look. Then I would have preferred a red GMT hand. Finally even though its thinner, it’s still quite chunky. I also would have liked a Jubilee bracelet option on this one.
Black Bay 41: “Monochrome”
My favourite release from Rolex and Tudor, the watch that killed the Rolex Submariner, this is awesome 🤩
It literally is perfect- on the Jubilee and if they make a solid bracelet like the gold model- then it will be monumental.
Honestly couldn’t find fault in it, beautiful, powerful and technically proficient as a METAS certified master chronometer. You MUST see this first before buying a non date submariner.
I cancelled my BB 58 GMT to get this.
