Horological Meandering

Looking for the following, would love ideas! Under ~$12k USD used. Not a Rolex/Omega/Hublot. It can not be a super recognizable brand because I intend on wearing it in Mexico and a few other less than safe countries. Waterproof - I can at least swim in it... 

I don't want anything that looks too much like a Rolex or AP!

I've become a big fan of Doxa. Mine is the Sub 300 Carbon, but I imagine you'd want the more classic steel Sub 300 on the beads of rice bracelet. Officially 42mm but wears SMALL and almost implausibly thin. And the steel ones will look GREAT beat up. It's...
