There seems to have been wide variations in how these dials aged.

Some aged very well and evenly, others not so much. Others show varying degrees of oxidation.
I met a gentleman in the HK Boutique several years ago and his dial was almost uniformly brown. Really attractive in the metal. Keep in mind there are both YG and RG dials and so what sometimes looks like heavy patina was in fact a darker colour to begin with. We are all more accustomed to seeing the YG dials which are lighter in colour.
